Certified Event Interventionist Course (CEI)

           The Event Interventionist Training was designed to address at risk individuals in real life situations where there is an immediate need to intervene in someone’s behaviors. Our training is unique in its configuration that the focus of a successful Intervention relies on the ability to understand and connect with the person who is suffering. That connection, or rapport, can be built utilizing skills in the training from the first moment you meet your client. This is critical based on the fact that most opportunities to help people occur not over long periods of time, but in a single conversation.

The Addiction Training Centers, Certified Event Intervention Course is a 1 day training and has 6 CEUs through NAADAC.

The course keeps its focus on the interaction between the Interventionist and the client, which allows us to train people in a manner that takes less time and is unquestionably more affordable. ATC also provides ongoing support to their trained interventionists.

The course specifically addresses the following areas:

1.       Education into addiction and treatment

2.     Recognizing signs and symptomology

3.      Understanding adaptable Interventions

4.     Skills and Elements of CEI

a.     Including Communication and De-Escalation skills

5.     Steps of the Intervention
